Bridges, also known as Hashiwokakero, is a logic puzzle that offers simple rules and challenging solutions.
Bridges is played on a rectangular grid with varying sizes. The islands are labeled with numbers from 1 to 8 inclusively, while the remaining cells represent water. The main objective is to connect all islands into a single group by constructing bridges between them. These bridges must adhere to specific criteria:
- They should start and end at different islands, following a straight line in between;
- They cannot intersect with other bridges or islands;
- They are only allowed to run orthogonally;
- At most, two bridges can connect a pair of islands;
- The number of bridges linked to each island must correspond to the number on that island.
In order to play, you can click on an island and drag towards another island. Release the pen when both islands are highlighted. To remove a bridge, draw a red line over it. It's possible to erase multiple bridges in one stroke.
